Meet Claude Beaudin

Claude Beaudin was sworn in as the International Secretary Treasurer of the Glass, Molders, Pottery, Plastics and Allied Workers International Union (AFL-CIO,CLC) on February 1st, 2016.

Mr.Beaudin entered into the trade in 1989 with Crane Company in Trenton, Ontario where he was a member of Local Union 3B. Mr. Beaudin held multiple positions at Crane to include being a laborer, clayware inspector, caster, slip/glaze man and mold maker. He also served Local Union 3B proudly as a shop steward and a Local Union President for 12 years.

Mr. Beaudin joined the International staff in October of 1999 as an International Representative appointed by then President Rankin and then in 2003 he was appointed to the Executive Board. In 2011 President Smith appointed Mr. Beaudin to the Director of Research and Education where he has been able to use his many years of education to education and inform the members through shop steward training sessions, summer school programs at West Virginia and many area educational conferences.

Mr. Beaudin will continue his roles educating our members as well as serving as a Trustee on a number of plans and with the GMP & Employers Retiree Trust.

Claude and his wife Tracey along with their two children, Danielle and A.J. and their two grandchildren look forward to the future.
