A settlement has been reached in litigation brought by the Bankruptcy Estate of Glenshaw Glass Company against Industrial Risk Insurers and AON. The total amount of the settlement is $9,000,000. A stipulation discussing the settlement which has been filed in the Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania can be reviewed by clicking here. A portion of the net settlement proceeds will be available to pay the claims of former employees of Glenshaw Glass Company. The net settlement proceeds will also be used to pay the claims of other creditors of the Company and the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation. As of this time we do not know how much will be distributed to the former employees nor do we know when it will be paid. When that information is available it will be posted on the GMP web site.
